Surfs up at Typhoon Lagoon all year round. As the story goes Typhoon Lagoon was once a small village situated in the shadows of a great volcanic mountain. With the coming of modern day tourism, came the cruise ships and holiday makers to the sleepy little area and the Placid Palms Resort was founded. Unfortunately (Well not for us) came a great storm which devastated the area. The Placid Palms Resort was now the Leaning Palms and what was left was the excitement of the waterpark and rides left before us. Twisting tides, roaring rapids, wonderful waterways, and relaxing rivers await you at Typhoon Lagoon. Most noticeably is the shrimp boat “Miss Tilly” which is seen sitting on top of the great volcanic mountain trapped from the storm. To this day, the mountain tries vainly to dislodge its unwelcome burden with an enormous geyser of water every half hour.
